DEFENSIVE CARBINE LEVEL ONE  *NEW CLASS*course flier

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This class provides instruction on basic safety, nomenclature, ballistics, cleaning, marksmanship, zeroing (iron-sights), positional shooting, clearing stoppages, reloading, low light engagements, moving targets and defensive carbine tactics.

This course is 15 hours in length. It runs for 5-weeks at 3-hours per session. Each week focuses on different skill set. This course culminates with the student shooting the National Tactical Officers Carbine Qualification Course of Fire (Authored and designed by CMI in 2002).

 The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $450.00 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT: Carbine, 200 rounds of ammunition each week and cleaning gear (solvent, rod, brush, patches), eye and hearing protection.

  • 10 Students maximum.


BASIC RIFLE MARKSMANSHIP & MAINTENANCE / course flier

DESCRPITION: This one hour class gives instruction on safety fundamentals, how to hold the rifle, use of the sights and proper trigger squeeze. It covers how to break the carbine down, conduct maintenance, put it back together, conduct a function check, and properly stowing the carbine. It includes static live-fire familiarization drills and a cleaning session.

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $39.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT: Carbine, 40 rounds of ammunition and cleaning gear (solvent, rod, brush, patches), eye and hearing protection.

  • 10 Students maximum.


IRON SIGHTS – OPTICS & ZEROING YOUR CARBINE / course flier

DESCRIPTION: This one hour class will show you how to zero iron sights and your optic. Students who don’t have an optic will be provided with samples for the class. Students will fire several zeroing evolutions during this class.

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $39.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT: Carbine with iron sights, optic if you have one, 40 rounds of ammunition, eye and hearing protection..

  • 10 Students maximum.


CARBINE RE-LOADING & CLEARING STOPPAGES / course flier

DESCRIPTION: This one hour class gives instruction on various reloading methods. It culminates with static live-fire drills that allow the student to conduct administrative, tactical and speed reloads during live-fire drills.

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $39.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT: Carbine, at least two (2) magazines, and 60 rounds of ammunition.

  • 10 Students maximum.


CARBINE POSITIONAL SHOOTING / course flier

DESCRIPTION: This one hour class gives instruction on the various carbine shooting positions (prone, seated, kneeling and standing CQB). It culminates with static live-fire drills that allow the student to hone their skills in each position.

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $39.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT: Carbine, 60 rounds of ammunition, eye and hearing protection.

  • 10 Students maximum.


LOW LIGHT ENGAGEMENTS USING A CARBINE / course flier

DESCRIPTION: This one hour class gives instruction on how to use light to your advantage. It culminates with static live-fire drills that allow the student to engage adversaries using either a weapon mounted light or flashlight.

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $39.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT: Carbine with either a weapon mounted light or you must bring a flashlight, 50 rounds of ammunition, eye and hearing protection.

  • 10 Students maximum.
