BASIC RIFLE SAFETY, MARKSMANSHIP & MAINTENANCE "Quick Hit Class"

DESCRPITION: This one (1) hour program provides classroom and range instruction on carbine safety fundamentals, how to hold the rifle in either the prone or modified prone position, use of the sights and trigger squeeze. It covers how to break the carbine down, conduct maintenance, put it back together, conduct a function check, and properly stowing the carbine. It includes static live-fire familiarization drills. 

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $34.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Carbine, 50 rounds of ammunition and cleaning gear (solvent, rod, brush, patches), eye and hearing protection.

  • 10 Students maximum.


ZEROING YOUR CARBINE "Quick Hit Class"

DESCRIPTION: This one (1) hour class program provides classroom and range instruction on zeroing (iron sights or optic) your rifle. A review of basic rifle marksmanship will be provided and students will fire several evolutions to get their rifle zeroed at 50 or 100 yards. 

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $34.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Carbine with iron sights, optic if you have one, 50 rounds of ammunition, eye and hearing protection..

  • 10 Students maximum.


CARBINE RE-LOADING & CLEARING STOPPAGES "Quick Hit Class"

DESCRIPTION: This one (1) hour program provides classroom and range instruction on various reloading and malfunctions remediation methods. Students will conduct a series of live-fire drills that allow them to clear malfunctions and conduct administrative, tactical and speed reloads.

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $34.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Carbine, at least two (2) magazines, and 50 rounds of ammunition.

  • 10 Students maximum.


CARBINE POSITIONAL SHOOTING "Quick Hit Class"

DESCRIPTION: This one (1) hour program provides classroom and range instruction on the various carbine shooting positions (seated, kneeling and standing CQB). Students will conduct a series of live-fire drills that allow them to hone their skills in each position.

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $34.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Carbine, 60 rounds of ammunition, eye and hearing protection.

  • 10 Students maximum.


LOW LIGHT ENGAGEMENTS USING A CARBINE "Quick Hit Class"

DESCRIPTION: This one (1) hour program provides classroom and range instruction on how to use in conjunction with your rifle to give yourself a tactical advantage. Students will conduct a series of live-fire drills using either a weapon mounted light or handheld flashlight.

The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $34.99 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Carbine with either a weapon mounted light or you must bring a flashlight, 50 rounds of ammunition, eye and hearing protection.

  • 10 Students maximum. 


Multiple Hour / NON - Quick Hit Classes


DEFENSIVE CARBINE SKILLS 1 (The Static Level)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This fifteen (15) hour program meets in three hours increments over the course of five (5) weeks. It provides classroom and range instruction on basic safety, nomenclature, ballistics, cleaning, marksmanship, zeroing (iron-sights), positional shooting, clearing stoppages, reloading, low light engagements and moving targets. This course culminates with the student shooting the National Tactical Officers Carbine Qualification Course of Fire (Authored and designed by CMI in 2002).

 The student receives a certificate of training.

  • COST: $299.00 (include range fee and targets)

  • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL.

  • EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Carbine w/ at least two (2) magazines and 200 rounds of rifle ammunition each week, rifle mounted or handheld flash light, cleaning gear (solvent, rod, brush, patches) and eye / hearing protection.

  • 10 Students maximum.


    DEFENSIVE CARBINE SKILLS 2 (The Dynamic Level)

    DESCRIPTION: This fifteen (15) hour program meets in three hour increments over the course of five (5) weeks. It provides classroom and range instruction that review the skills developed in DCS1 and introduces new dynamics that can be encountered during a real fight. New skill development at this level include movement, transitioning to the pistol and judgment in the use of deadly force (shoot / don't shoot). Improved judgment and stress inoculation are the main goals at this level. To achieve this we use physical exertion, compressed time, small targets and the absolute need to hit, before being hit.

    The student receives a certificate of training.

    • COST: $325.00 (includes range fee and targets)

    • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL. MUST have attended our drawing from the holster quick hit class or defensive handgun 1 and defensive carbine 1.

    • EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Carbine w/ at least two (2) magazines and 200 rounds of rifle ammunition each week, rifle mounted or handheld flash light, handgun w/ holster and 30 rounds of ammo each week, eye and hearing protection.

    • 10 students maximum


    DEFENSIVE CARBINE SKILLS 3 (The Interactive Level)

    DESCRIPTION: This fifteen (15) hour program meets in three hour increments over the course of five (5) weeks. It provides classroom and range instruction that review the skills developed in DCS1 & 2, and introduces new skills whereby technology is introduced using our firearms training simulator that projects scenarios down range. These scenarios force the student to react appropriately, and when justified, fire their own rifle and own ammunition, using their own judgment and accuracy on the moving human opponent. In addition, force on force scenarios are run using marking cartridges and protective equipment giving the student the experience of being in a real gunfight against a real opponent forcing them use of proper tactics and judgement to win the encounter.

    The student receives a certificate of training.

    • COST: $349.00 (includes range fee and targets)

    • PREREQUISITE: Must possess a valid CPL. MUST have attended defensive handgun 1 and defensive carbine 1 & 2.

    • EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Carbine w/ at least two (2) magazines and 100 rounds of rifle ammunition each week, rifle mounted or handheld flash light, handgun w/ holster and 20 rounds of ammo each week, eye and hearing protection.

    • 10 students maximum.
